Freedom Solutions Website Development

Freedom Solutions is a not-for-profit organisation that designs and builds custom assistive technology for people living with disability, including customised bikes for children and adults who cannot ride standard bicycles.

The client required a fully accessible and inclusive website that allows people to buy online, book a trial, donate, support and is also a hub of valuable information that is accessible to all.

Valuing our expertise in the disability space developing WCAG accessible brands and websites, the client approached Think Creative to build a new accessible and inclusive eCommerce website.

It was such a pleasure working with Christian, Kelly and their team. They are attentive, professional and very approachable. Whenever I had a question or feedback, the conversation was very constructive and they always focused on finding a solution that works for us, not a general, one-size-fits-all solution. At Freedom Solutions Australia, the main goal for the website was to combine two sites into one, creating a website that communicates well with our clients who live with disability, their carers, and allied health professionals. Think Creative Agency took every detail and requirement of ours into consideration and developed an amazing website. Highly recommended!

The Challenge

The client was managing two separate websites — Freedom Solutions and Freedom Wheels — each with different structures, content, and design. This created confusion for users, duplication of effort for administrators, and challenges for fundraising and enquiries.

The old sites also lacked accessibility compliance and modern UX standards, which limited reach and engagement.

Additionally the sites lacked:

  • Inconsistent branding
  • Lack of WCAG accessibility and compliance
  • Difficult admin process
  • Slow sites with a poor user journey

Our Approach

We worked closely with the Freedom Solutions team to streamline their online presence into a single, scalable platform. Our approach included:

  • Information architecture redesign, merging two websites into one.
  • Wireframing and prototyping in Figma to validate user journeys.
  • Accessible, mobile-first design to meet WCAG standards.
  • WooCommerce integration for product and donation management.
  • Salesforce integration for streamlined lead and donation tracking.SEO and content migration planning.
  • Go-live support including redirects from legacy domains.

Search Engine Optimisation

Prior to the build,  we undertook a website audit and SEO audit on both sites to uncover their best performing pages and their top keywords.  We then did a competitor analysis to uncover the most valuable keywords with the highest search volumes. A full report along with our recommendations was supplied to the client with our suggestions on the top keywords we should optimise the site for.

All of our sites are optimised for SEO and Google best practice on launch to give the new site the best chance to rank and be found on Google.
