Coogee Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) is one of Sydney’s most iconic volunteer organisations, with over a century of service keeping the community safe. Each year, the club publishes a detailed Annual Report covering lifesaving, training, community engagement, youth programs, competition and governance.
In 2025, Coogee SLSC engaged us to design and produce their 130 page Annual Report – a publication that captures the achievements and spirit of their volunteer community.
The report requires input from multiple leaders and subcommittees. The Club needed a partner who could:
• Consolidate content from 20+ contributors
• Create structure and clarity across nine sections
• Design a visually engaging report that reflects the club’s values and coastal identity
With limited volunteer capacity and a tight timeline, the challenge was coordinating content, ensuring accuracy, and delivering a polished, multi purpose publication for governance, fundraising and community communications
We developed a design system that reflects the club’s identity – energetic, community driven and connected to the coastline.
We delivered:
• A consistent visual style across all sections
• High impact layouts featuring member photography
• Infographics to simplify complex data
• Clean typography for readability
• Design elements inspired by the Coogee coastline
This ensured the report was both informative and visually representative of the community it serves.
